About Manhattan 75
The Manhattan 75 Block Association has been bringing neighbors together on West 75th Street for decades. We organize community events, maintain our tree pits, and look out for one another.
Storm Link is our emergency response system for snow events. When a storm hits, elderly and mobility-limited neighbors can request help with shoveling, groceries, and errands. Volunteers from the block sign up for shifts and get matched with neighbors who need assistance.
This initiative embodies what makes West 75th Street special: neighbors who genuinely care about each other and step up when it matters most.
How Storm Link Works
Neighbors request help
Anyone on the block can submit a request for shoveling, grocery delivery, or other assistance. No account needed.
Volunteers are notified
On-call volunteers receive a text message when a new request comes in that matches their skills and availability.
Volunteers claim requests
A volunteer claims the request and receives the neighbor's contact information to coordinate directly.
Neighbors connect
The neighbor receives a text with the volunteer's name and phone number. Help is on the way!
